Yes
is there anything out there that's like a uv filter but that goes between your lens and body (that actually makes a barrier between the lens and body for dust) making it impossible for dust to get in, for example like a adaptor for using nikon lenses on a canon camera only with glass as well?

edit: a better example would be an extension tube with glass in

No, it would mess up the focusing amongst other things and be pretty much pointless.

Dust is a fact of life with DSLR's and really isn't much of an issue.

Actually, a German company called Astronomik makes a series of drop-in filters that will fit in the recess that some camera bodies have to accomodate EF-S lenses. I've got their light-pollution filter, but they also make a clear filter - LINK.

It's main drawback is that it won't work with EF-S lenses. The other drawback is that it is, as Tom says, pointless. However, there does seem to be a lot of people with more money than sense (as demonstrated by 'protective' filter sales) so I'm sure some people will consider it a great idea and €75 well spent.

Some lenses (my 24-105 and 100-400) actually pump air through the body when you change focal lengths. Having a block in the body would cause the air to go through a route in the lens where it shouldn't and you may end up with more dust on your glass!
