hi all ive got a picture where the sky is how i want it but the foreground is under exposed, i want to change this but keep the sky as it is. ive got elements 11 and was wondering if its possible to do this? could anyone help?
I haven't used Elements since version 6, but I'm assuming that if I describe it in principle, you will hopefully be able to do something very similar. Hard to know how much of this will be understood without know how much you know about Photoshop/Elements.
If you can make a selection of the foreground with the Quick Selection Tool, and then choose a Levels or Curves Adjustment Layer and play about. Any changes will only affect the foreground selected area. You can try and fix any problems with the transition from foreground to sky using the Layer Mask on the Adjustment Layer if the initial selection wasn't very accurate.
