On account of it absolutely persisting down, how do you keep your kit dry?

Ive got a storm jacket cover which is pretty good, and also a few of those posh plastic bag type things as well.

But I wondered how you keep your laptops dry??

Short of buying a military spec waterproof/bullet proof tough book thing.......although you'd be alright at Millwall with that!!

I use think tank hydrophobia covers on both cameras and the laptop stays away

May get paid for going to games but I don't want to have to spend any income on replacing a wet laptop. I pop back into wire room at HT and FT to wire

Nobody on this planet will ever pay me enough to get a £800 laptop wet through, go into the stands and edit or do it after the game

Hi Lee

Think Tank hydrophobia's for my cameras when I know it's gonna be wet, or, pull on covers from here http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/rainydays2008?_trksid=p2047675.l2559 ,if its for unpredictable showers! (I find the thinktank's intrusive on normal use especially the 70-200 one!).
Lappy wise I have either a Seaport Pro case which has a built in surround where I can attatch a velcro front cover which keeps things dry but not in a deluge! or a Think Tank "Sunshade" which acts like a tent but is great in all but the worst weather as this also includes a front cover which you can throw over your head on editing.
Kind regards Graham.

Put the laptop in a clear plastic freezer bag. You can still type and use the touchpad. Keeps it dry and gains you an edge over the opposition if they aren't wiring.

Before the game starts, watch out for the sprinklers. The guy next to me at the world cup final had his Macbook soaked when the sprinklers came on before the game, killing it completely. He was very very sad indeed.

Tobers, think i'd be hunting the groundsman!!

Cheers graham I've got something similar to them but they're very well priced, and after changing bags today and leaving my cover at home (doh!) I'll invest in a couple of these and keep on in the car at all times.....to bale me out when I've been a plonker....again!!

Its anoying this one, because at PL matches the top agencys have runners who can wire inside.
And if your not wiring live you've no chance of selling. Unless ive got a photo i know has got a chance of
selling i wont bother wiring in the rain regardless of cover. Even with the laptop covers that are about now if its hammering down
your still going to get the trackpad wet etc
