You have to ask this about Katie Hopkins? - although a better description would include "vile", "odious" and "vermin".

I wonder how long it will before Trump is also prosecuted for libel........do they have libel on the USA statutes?

Some of his tweets smack of such unfounded & fake news libel ;)

She really is a loose cannon, though I doubt this case will stop her stream of bile for long!

Her sense of entitlemrnent to tear into people through a multitude of online channels seems to be backed by the owners of the Mail. She has been gifted Carte Blanche to use unfettered bile and innuendo so often it would suggest high level sanction.
 
Would be great if everybody could just ignore her and never reply to her comments.
Without anyone biting she would be redundant, from the linked article incompetent needs adding to the list of remarks
 
I read somewhere that they were both using no win no fee lawyers, if so then there's no loss of cash to Hopkins, just loss of face which wouldn't faze her in the least.

According to the guardian she has been ordered to make an interim payment of £107,000 within 28 days, and thats likely to increase significantly.

Hopkins lost so she'll have to pay for her lawyers as well as the opposition's.
 
She's got a wee bit of an ego issue/messiah complex going on at the moment..

Well, other than the publicity it would attract, I wouldn't have a problem with her being nailed up.

Absolutely, but that's only because she thrives even on negative publicity.

It takes a strange sort to enjoy being actively hated. I can't comprehend it personally.

I read that KH was employed by the government to gauge public opinion on a number of matters. It's not as far fetched as it might sound as she worked in military intelligence before appearing on 'the apprentice' and would explain why she turned down a job in the final.

She dropped out of the Army between training at Sandhurst and taking up a commission (epilepsy, apparently).

It's the right wing rant she never has that shows her Achilles heel.

She doesn't slag off the NHS because she spends a lot of time in hospital and they've saved her life many times - her frequent seizures are at the serious end of the spectrum.
