All I use is diluted Jayes fluid poured from watering cans. Takes me 1/2 hr each time. It kills the green algae & any weeds in the joints & don't need to re-sand.
Twice a year is enough & much of my drive area is North facing & shaded.

What's the Karcher fluid like in comparison?

You don't need any cleaner/fluid, especially if using a pressure washer, but apart from using the T-racer on the patio & paths, Jayes fluid is plenty adequate for my block paved drive.
