Hi folks,
We have a wee boat that came with a JVC head unit (model number is: KD-S621) in it but the CD player didn't work and it was fairly basic so I thought it would be a good idea to upgrade it as I really wanted to be able to stream music to it and get DAB.
I bought a Sony CD player (model is an MEX-N6001BD) at the weekend and with all the bells and whistles that I wanted but when I went to fit it today as usual I ran into a problem. The plug on the back of the JVC is bigger than the Sony. Both are 16 pin plugs with the push down release for the plug at the top of the plug but now I'm trying to work out if it is possible to get an adapter to go from the male end of the JVC loom to the male end to go into the Sony.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I thought maybe Autoleads would be my first stop but I'm to late to phone them now but I'll be able to get them tomorrow.
This is the back of the Sony unit on the bottom and the JVC on the top:

And this is the two plugs together with the larger JVC at the top and the Sony on the bottom:

Thanks to anyone who can help - I definitely don't fancy stripping back a loom to solder in a new one.
