I've won a couple of FB banner headings and once won a framed print of one of my images from a local canvas/framer guy, and today ive just found out ive won £50 from the local Newspaper for this image below.
Ive had a crappy year and i hope this is a sign of good things to come in 2021.
I know its not much and im sure many photographers on these forums have won BIG, but its nice to share good things in this world of sadness and all round bad news.
I hope this doesnt come across as boasting. Thats not my intention.

That's rather nice and congratulations.

I came 2nd in a monthly Lencarta lighting competition. The first time I used the lights too!

Also won the general league in my local camera club and then the advanced league twice.

Currently in first place for this year in the advanced by 4 points :)
 
according to the contents of my spam folder I have won lots of competitions I don't remember entering

never won anything for piccies though

congrats and hopefully a better 2021 for everyone
 
Allegedly I won the readers digest competion in 1974 still waiting for my prize money though .. only thing I ever really won was a offshore yacht race back in the 80’s might even still have the cup somewhere in the garage
 
Congratulations - always good to find that someone appreciates your pics.

I got 2 firsts and 1 second in Giggleswick Fete‘s photo comp in 2019. I got a wooden vase (returnable) for most points overall. Unfortunately I still have the vase due to the fete not being held last year. Still have to dust it.

Congratulations Jason, that's a very nice picture.
I've never been one for entering comps, but I won a pony on my Premium Bonds this month (£25.00). :banana:

I have won the odd competition before with images I think are not very good and then do terrible with ones I think will do well.
All in the eye of the beholder apparently.

So I don't bother entering anything anymore but that image you have taken of the peer looks pretty special to me.

Love it.
 
Well done, that appeals to me.

I've won a couple of competitions for shooting, but I've never entered one that required me to shoot photographs..:D

Well done mate - I’ve never won a competition but I once had an image of a butterfly printed in the guardian. It’s a nice feeling.

And sharing good news is definitely not bragging!

A photo of me won a competition about 40 years ago.

And no, it wasn't an fugly ukker type comp! (Although it was a shot of me in rugby kit about to scrum down, with a split eyebrow.)
