Yep, that's right I have no plans to upgrade and I don't lust after any more kit...it's taken a few years of upgrading from a small compact, then a bridge camera, then a Canon 450d and onto a canon 40d before finally going full frame with the 5dmkii

My 5dmkii and 580exii suits me just grand and for when I want to travel light I have the fuji xe-1

:)

Glad to see you have found the remiedy for "Upgraditus" :)

Wonderful :) I wish I could get over mine, that said its only really a couple of lens that I'm lusting over :) I'd love to have a 16-35 in my life...oh an I really want a new canon flash gun to replace the one that got smashed recently :(....I would love a small light camera for day to day when I don't wish to have the big camera round my neck

Last night, I had a similar thought. Ive been told that my wages will include quite a nice bonus this month, and my first thought was 'Oooh, what shiney new photography stuff can I buy myself'? When I thought about it for a minute, I realised I didnt actually need anything...I am happy with what I have...there are no other areas of photography im interested in that would require more kit....

...im definitely getting too sensible in my old age.

I feel like that with my 7D and lenses :) I've not had the urge to upgrade anything for a good year now! :D

i said that in the middle of summer 2012....

just with a quick calculation i can see i've spent over £7,000 since then !!!

although i am happy with my kit now (i hope) :)

Pretty much the same with my 5D, yes I would quite like live view and sensor cleaning can be a chore, but no complaints with the photos and that's what really matters

Good man! I found the remedy was to sell it all, pack up and buy guitars. Now starting again at the bottom for fun. :)

Moderators!!

Good for you.

Always helps when you're content with what you've got.

So there IS a cure for GAS? :D

Me too! I wouldn't mind a lens or two to replace the ones I steal borrow from my partners, but this is totally the cheaper way of doing it!

I picked up the 100D in the summer for traveling light, and I hope to eventually save up enough for the pancake lens to go with it. I just wish Canon would make a tiny full frame camera, my hands are just a little on the small side for my 5DMkII.

Well done :) What lenses though?

I have 17-40L for land/seascapes no issues there.
I have a 50/1.4 which I use for general stuff.
I have a 100USM macro which I hardly use.
I have a 135L which I'm not fully convinced on.

I am currently trying to re-evaluate my lenses :) lol

Out of interest, what is it about the 135L that you're not convinced about?

Yep, been there, done that, and got the 'T' Shirt, but it didn't last

In DSLR terms, I started with a 300D, moved up to a 30D, and then a 7D. When I got that far, I thought "this is it now, I'm there".

Wrong! !, I have just upgraded to a 5D Mklll, plus a 24-105L, and a 70-300L IS USM.

Oh, yes, and I also recently bought a Nissin MF18 Ring Flash, and a 530EX flash.

Will it stop there?, I would like to think so, but I have my doubts

I wish I was 100% happy with my kit!! I would love a decent 50mm but hated the nifty, not overly enamored with the 1.4 and everything else like the 50L and zeiss 50s are too pricey for me, so probably going to go with the sigma 35 1.4, a 135L is on the cards next year and I would love to upgrade the 70-200 to the Mk2 2.8 IS. Considering I started a couple of years ago with the 1000D and 18-55 non is my kit is actually not bad :D ............for now

Well I am very happy with my D600 and many bridge cameras... lenses are just about right to

I have the 50mm f1.8 for low light (light walkabout)
The 24-105 is on the camera 95% of the time
I have a 70-200 F4 IS for the odd bit of wildlife and candids - but it's not seen much use recently.
A tamron 90mm macro is good enough for the close-up shots I take occasionally.

On the Fuji XE-1 I have the 35mm prime f1.4 and the standard 18-55 lens

I can fire both my flashes off camera with the yongnuo cheapy triggers too

Yea OK you could argue the 17-40L would be fun to have for those UWA opportunities but I'm not losing any sleep over not having it - this IS JUST A HOBBY :)

Aha, between post 1 and post 26 a XE-1 has appeared! Now we understand...:lol::lol:

Very happy with my leica m9. Just want to get myself a nice 50mm lens and I'll by rather happy with my lens line up for a long time.
