Just over a month ago i found out i was being made redunant, knowing how hard it is to find a job these days i put my full D300 kit up for sale on here.
Well i finally get laid off at the end of the month, & been offered a very good redundancy package.. basically alot more than i thought i was going to get.
Well being a Retail Manager, I applied for a few Managment Jobs
Last week out of the blue came a letter from Lidel, & an arragement for an interview.
Basically the job was for a Store that opening up near me at around Xmas time, that i didn't even know was being built ie just up the road, actually i could walk to work as it only 10 minutes away.
Had the interview which went really really well, should find out this week if i've got the job or not, hopefully i have.
But what really going to bug me is if i get this job, is that didn't need to sell my D300 setup & just don't have the heart to buy it all again, even though i can easily afford it all next month.
Also i feel kinda of guilty to... as my Dad bought me an Olympus E-620, out of his own pocket, when he found out off my Wife that i was selling all my camera gear on, as she told him i was gutted to put it all up for sale as the family always comes first.
So Im going to pay my Dad back even though i don't need to, & while he bought this camera for me, I'll think i'll invest in some better glass for this E-620 instead as i only have the kit lenses atm, & tbh i've really enjoyed using this little camera for the short time I've had it.
It's basically the least i can do for my Dad, while he splashed £650 on me out of his own saving, when he didn't need to.
So it fingers crossed for me this week.
To if i have a job again around Christmas time, & if i do it means i get a couple of months rest aswell.
