Just thought I'd say hello

I've been lurking for a while and finally decided to register so I thought I'd better introduce myself.

If it isn't already obvious from my user name I'm from Newcastle, i'm 25 and have a Nikon D60. I got my D60 just over 2 years ago when I decided to do photography for my Queen's Guide personal skill (the Queen's Guide Award is the highest award in girlguidingUK and is pretty similar to Gold D of E). I think I've made some improvements since I started but there's always more to learn, right?!

Apart from photography and Guiding (I work with Guides and Senior Section so 10-14 and 14-26 year olds) I also love geocaching which is great as it gets me to beautiful or interesting spots many others don't know about.

I mainly enjoy taking landscape photos but I also love taking photos at night which my friends and family find a little odd. Hopefully once I save up enough money I'll get a D7000 as I'm starting to find some of the D60's limits quite frustrating as much as I love it.

Here's a welcome from another newish north easterner

I also love taking photos at night which my friends and family find a little odd. Hopefully once I save up enough money I'll get a D7000 as I'm starting to find some of the D60's limits quite frustrating as much as I love it.

I like night shooting too, I usually get finished work about midnight and there's been a few times I've picked up my bag and tripod and gone for a bit of a drive to see what I can find. Generally it ended up just being shots of my car in various locations!
