Just thought I would see if it`s true

Black Friday sheep.

16 min now. I guess it's a sensible way of handling large traffic volumes - or making people desperate to get a bargain.

Now if they had a Sony 3omm f2.8 Macro lens for £65 like Tesco did last Christmas I'd consider the wait very acceptable.

Daft thing is you can't actually buy anything just now, sale starts at 08:00

Well the Kenwood mixer I bought for £149 2 weeks ago is.............£149 in the sale!

I've just been on and nothing exciting on the photographic front apart from an entry level Nikon with a few quid off. Nothing from Sony unfortunately so no A6000 for me :0)

Tesco Direct is already flaking out under the load as well..

That'll teach you to rush in and not wait :D

I've just been checking out Amazon's site.
Nothing of any real interest to me.
I guess I'll sleep though the pushing and shoving and hand bag battering :D

Just spotted Richard's post. Am sorry to hear about that, I, too, was given notice of redundancy just before Christmas a couple of years ago but things does have a habit of working themselves out.

21 minutes wait

Tempted to buy 20 or 20 of everything maybe crash the sitd.

The worst thing is that every video/photo (and joke above) I've seen is of people literally kicking others out of the way to buy a crappy Blaupunkt TV. It's not like they're getting a 4K Sony for £50! The same Tv was probably £20 more last week and still £100 overpriced.

I saw people today buying ten of everything so long as it had a sale sticker on it, even if it was only £1 off. Crazy.

Actually, this kind of thing isn't that new. I remember The Great VHS Recorder Rush of '84 when the Minder Christmas special was on at the same time as Only Fools & Horses. As soon as that showed up on the Radio Times, there was a sudden surge in VHS recorder sales and most shops were sold out of them before Christmas.
