Yes
Just sold my Nikon D80 this morning as I found it a little too big to cart about, I loved using it and had many years of fun shooting with it. But as soon as I had sold it, and the new owner walked away with it, could not help feeling a little sad. Just now left with a few lenses that wont now get used, just wondering if I should keep them or sell them on? I now tend to use my Compact Cameras, as they are just so easy to carry about. Now got use of the XF1 for good picture quality and the Panasonic TZ35 for good zoom range. Would love to add an X10/X20 etc to my collection at some point.

I know how you feel. I sold my D300, missed it, bought another, sold it, missed it, now got a D200. Haven't used it for aged, so will probably sell it. I've got all Fuji X stuff now and think I can finally break away from big cameras. X20 is superb if you are thinking of buying one. I might be selling mine as I keep hovering over the checkout button for an X-T1!

I remember selling my D70 and feeling similar to yourself afterwards so decided to put my fuji s2pro in the loft instead of selling it when I got my D300, that was about 5 years ago and where is it now, yep still in the loft....you did the right thing.

Who knows I may get another DSLR at some point, but at the moment I really do like using the Compact option, providing the quality is there. Really do fancy an X20 at the moment, but if something else came along in a small package with good image quality I will go for it, providing I can afford it of course :)

Yes I think I did, besides it would be depreciating in value the longer I kept it.

Ever camera I have parted with I have regretted & have either replaced it with an identical one, or am giving serious thought to getting another one. I now hoard my camera gear & don't part with anything, even if it gathers dust most of the time.

My "hoard or sell" is mainly based on whether it's film or digital - if it's digital then the depreciation can be a high cost of storing it. Sold my 2 year old D700 2 years ago for £1100 as it was not getting much use but if I hung onto it and sold it today i'd probably only get £700-£800!

I brough a Nikon FM2 2 years ago for £110 and if I resold it then I might even get the same back, so no real loss in storing it.

I am a bit of a hoarder myself, but I find most of the stuff I hoard for years ends up loosing most or all of it's value. I once bought a Mini DV camcorder for nearly £700, and I only really used it about the first year I bought it. I stored it away for years in the cupboard, and when I finally decided to sell it years later, they were going for about £30 on ebay! Pity I did not sell it a year after I used it, then I probably would have gotten a few hundred quid back.

I still have my old film Camera a Nikon F60, it's still like brand new as I have kept it in its original box and all the bits it came with are still as good as the first day I bought it. I did think about selling it, but they were only going for a few quid. It's dropped so low it can't drop any more, I was thinking it may gain more value in a good few more years. Or maybe the Camera will never be worth anything, again maybe I should have sold it much sooner !

Looks like the F60 sells for about a tenner on ebay - I guess being a mainly plastic camera it would not have the same appeal to a collector that something like an F100 would have.

Looks like I will be keeping hold of it then :)
