Just Seen This : Nikon D7000 & 50mm f1.4G

If you bought the body from Mifsuds and the lens from WEX it would work out about £50 cheaper than that deal.....
 
i did there "quote us your gear" thing.. and for a d5000 with a 18-55mm kit lens that is not even a year old.. £160 i was like yeah right.

Don't kid yourself. Totally different. It's a DX body - more MP but that's not everything. D3 is a pro body with all that entails.

What you have to bear in mind is that they have to sell on at a profit, so going down that route is never going to be a decent option.
 
I've noticed with Camera World that they advertise very good deals, but when I phone up they never have them in stock
 
im not very good on technical side of the equipment with focus motors etc (just doesnt stick in my mind :/ )

which where could i get a 50mm either 1.8/1.4 that will auto focus on the d5000?

The only 50mm that will auto focus on a D5000 is the Nikkor 50mm 1.4 AF-S G. Either that or the Sigma 50mm 1.4 DG as they both have the built in AF motors that the D5000 needs in order to AF.

You would, but that's spending a few hundred to save a few tens. On the other hand, it does mean there are a lot of decent lenses available to you and the D90 would be a cheaper upgrade to the same end.
 
but the d90 will be defunct soon.. the d7000 is miles ahead for similar price. i wouldnt mind but last march i payed around £750 for my d5000 with 18-55mm and 70-300mm

the camera will be better for me in the long run. and it opens alot more lenses available to me.

The lens i posted a few posts up. whats the going sort of price for this lens?
