Just thought I'd say hello to all as I've just registered. Ordered myself a 450D with the standard lens kit yesterday, so waiting for that to arrive. This is my first DSLR, although 20 odd years ago I did have a Minolta X700. No longer have any of the kit though.
Never really took things too seriously back then, but enjoyed the satisfaction of the few good shots that I did take (plenty of less than good ones as well).
Anyway, I intend to take things a little more seriously this time around.
Wanted to say thanks for the wealth of information that this forum has provided me with over the last week or so in deciding which camera to buy. Although reading around it looks like this has the potential to become an expensive hobby......much like my other hobby, I've played guitar in bands for about the last 20 years. So I'm hoping to try and combine the two.
Anyway, looking forward to the new toy arriving and trying to get my head around exposure times, F stops, ISO etc etc.
