Upgrading from the D40, so should be a doddle to use.

Just got an email from warehouse and the D90 won't be back in stock until May meaning I'll miss the £60 cashback, so I cancelled. :|

Park Cameras have put me on a reserve list and will back date my invoice so I'll still qualify for the £60 cashback.

Don't know whether I'll sell the D40 as it was my first DSLR and it's only worth £150. Might consider it to fund a grip for the D90, depends how it feels without one.

The high ISO performance, 12mp, and the ability to get my SB600 off camera with ease twisted my arm. The video will also be a boon as I have an 18 month old son so a few clips here and there will keep the missus happy.

WOOHOO.

First thing I noticed is how heavy it is compared to the D40. Haven't really had a chance to test and compare but I'm sure it will impress.

It needs the grip as I find it still a tad to small for my big hands, but that's on the way so no worries.

The D40 feels like a toy in comparison, don't get me wrong it's still a great camera and the 1/500 flash sync will keep it in my bag for a while yet.

love mine

had a d40 and what a cracker

then went sony a300 as couldn't afford a decent nikon upgrade

but i'm so pleased with the D90
