Just ordered a 650d and 18-135mm STM lens
fancy the touch screen
had to be from panamoz as it was nearly £100 cheaper than the price I had been quoted from DR

I have the 7d and a 600d just fancied the 650 for it's new features and AF in video mode
and touch screen
watched alot of reviews and demo's on it and it looks the biz

I bought a 650D for the wife a couple of months ago when Panamoz first got them and I've since bought the 40mm STM for her as well, although I have used them both and the 40mm goes very well on my 5D3. The 40mm is a great little lens and she already has the 18-135 IS but not the STM version.

Is the 18-135 STM a lot better than the non STM version for IQ and would it be worth changing it for the STM. Neither of us shoots much video at the moment but I would like to try it in the future for some fairly close aviation stuff.

I already have the pancake lens from them but didn't seem anything special on my 600d so I ordered the 650d to go with it lol
Then doing some research it seems the pancake is for the 5d mk3 video mode and the 18-135 smt is for the 650d so I ordered the 650d with the 18-135 smt
will let you know my findings
I don't buy things for my wife any more as it clearly wasn't appreciated as she is now an x wife and I am certainly not buying her foooooook all now lol

Hi

Think the 40mm is for video focus on the 650D gets good reviews for that (mags)

If i was going to get a crop body i think the 650 would be my gofor at the moment,

I prefer DHL faster than UPS or at least here they are.

Can't remember where I read it, it was just in a review and I read as many as I can find
I think it was actually in a review I was reading about the 18-135 smt Allan
 
dhl this time the 650d order looks like Monday but dhl don't give a delivery date unlike ups
it's landed at dhl in brum but that was yesterday no further updates thus far
I 'm also tracking Mr Daryl Chew's order that panamoz emailed me
if you watching Daryl yours landed at heathrow yesterday lol

Same combo I will prob be ordering from panamoz along with 100-400 L. Interested in your opinion of lens if I haven't ordered before then
 
I was interested in opinions on the lens combo but couldn't really find any info of any particular note so I though fooook it just buy one and see lol
I'll let you know my thoughts on Monday I do know my pancake smt has no real merrit on the 600d or 7d so ended up buying a 650 as well lol
 
yep arrived in the usual time base all good just need some day time to play with it properly

Good comparison of the 135 vs the 135 STM here...

I'm thinking of buying the 650D with 18-135mm as my first venture into DSLR's. Interested in using it for both photo and video. It seems to be the best out there in Crop cameras for the price range.
