Yes
It's about time I got a new laptop, my old PowerBook G4 12" is pretty much dead. The battery is completely useless (won't hold it's charge and most of the time won't even begin to charge) and the screen has a huge black crack through it since my sister stepped on it a while ago.

Went ahead and got myself a MacBook Air. Now, you may be asking...why the hell buy an Air when you can get a MacBook Pro for pretty much the same price, and it's so much more powerfull? Well, the reason I bought an Air is because it's insanely thin and insanely small. Just what I need it for.

Realistically, i'm gonna be using it for 3G internet, basic photo editing and a few other things on the move. I already have alot of heavy camera kit to carry around with me (40D + Grip, 17-40, 70-200 f/2.8) so I need a light laptop.

Plus it looks AWESOME, I also ordered one of those laptop cases which looks like the postage envelope from the advert :D

Pretty good deal aswel, £900 from Amazon, that's £300 cheaper than direct from Apple.

Yay! I'm so excited! :)

Yep I was gonna get one if I decide I need one, same with the superdrive (although the Air can make use of another Mac or PC's drive over WiFi which is really cool).

Good choice, I've had mine for about a month now and am bloody impressed with it.

Just make sure you het an external hard drive as you'll be filling the 80gb hard drive up.

^ Yeah I would have gone for a MacBook or even MacBook Pro but they arn't thin and light enough. No point in having a CD/DVD drive in my laptop like you get in a MB or MBP since i'd never use it.

I have two external HDs already, a 400GB and 120GB :)

I'm actually going to fill most of the 80GB HD on the laptop with music (I have like 50GB) so will use one of my HDs if I run out of space (i'm sure I will very soon hehe).

The black one is the top of the range MacBook.

Has a faster processor than the entry level, and a bigger HD compared to both white, lower end MacBooks.

Even being the top of the range MacBook, it's still cheaper than the entry level Air by about £250.

The pick of the Macbook range is the middle white macbook. The black one really only has a bigger hdd but its easier to swap HDDs over. I just got a good deal on one :)

Dixons Tax Free has some good deals as well (or did when I was buying)

The black ones really show up fingerprints though! Nightmare to keep clean.

I couldn't justify an Air as I didn't need ultra portability and the MBPs were too expensive.

£900 for Macbook Air cant find that on Amazon

I've got a Macbook (the middle white one) but wish I'd gone for a pro, mainly for the non glossy screen. I think I'll hold off upgrading until there is a big shift to higher capacity solid state drives.

I have a MBP, I don't think its that heavy compared to a 'normal' laptop, its still not an ultra portable like the air though.

Incidently, the MBPs are tough bits of kit, I dropped mine from about 6ft in the air, distorted it a bit but is working fine!

Out of stock! Damn it!

Won't recive it until Wednesday now :(

It's arrived!

Awesome bit of kit, sooo thin and light, I can't get over how little it weighs!

Love it, just depend my love for Apple! :D
