Woot :woot:

My first ultra widey and at an incredible price £337 incl delivery.

Fingers crossed not a mistake on the advert! Was going to go with a Sigma 10-20 at £285 from Kerso or the Canon at £390 but this couldn't be resisted!

Oooh just realised I get cashback as well :woot: :D

I'm not gunna sleep tonight now!

Sounds like a great deal, where did you order if from if I can ask.

well done you - its an absolute cracker of a lens

It can do things like this:

:) Excellent, can't wait.

Do you use a filter system, ie Cokin P system or the screw in type?

I have an old Cokin P adapter with a round PL but not sure if if is large enough and don't have a 77mm adapter ring but was considering the screw in CPL? I think though the cost will sway me to keep the Cokin system.

Do you use a UV or just the hood?

Thanks

I think you will have some vignetting at 10mm Andy, unless you get a cokin wide angle adapter.

I love mine. You can do silly shots like:

That's an amazing deal. If I hadn't just ordered a 5D I be tempted myself.

That IS good.. I went to Microglobe last week as i was in the area and it was closed?? i wanted to go play with some stuff...

onestop Digital have them for £359.99 if that helps, not sure what thepostage is though, orthe stock level.

postage for one stop is included I think

Byker28 - I am really looking forward to the silly shots!

I have gone to Kerso! but thanks for the OneStop suggestion. At least this way, I won't have the possibility of a VAT reclaim.

I have paid by Bank transfer. Anyone know what Kerso's turnaround for this type of transacton? I did ask him this question but in answering another he forgot to answer this one and I bugged him enough! This is my first dealing with Kerso btw.

The Canon 10-22 is a cracking lens :)

Regarding turnaround. Last time I used Kerso, I transferred money on the 9th and lenses arrived on the 14th of the particular month (Feb this year, so that was also including Sat/Sun too)

Basically it was a quick turnaround

Hi,
Been agonising over this for some time. Sigma 10-20 or the Canon. But these Canon prices are really good!! Stupid question is there an L version.....?
Concur, Kerso service V. Good.

Dunc

Tokina 12-24 also has a shout in this field, its a brilliant lens for the money.

I read the reviews on Photozone and they were not hugely complimentary of the Canon. The Tokina was mentioned as a suitable alternative. Whats the bottom line comparison between the leading contendors in the 10-20 market?!

*fingers crossed on this then!*

Darned annoying thing is that we both use the same bank but the clearance period is the same! :bang:

I'm far too impatient - I should have taken the £6 hit on a paypal transaction!!

Does Kerso email you when the goods are sent? I want to be in when the postie calls so I don't have a trip to the collection depot. Fortunately, i can work from home if needs be.

The 10-22mm lens is amazingly wide, about 170 degrees of viewing. It's really strange when you've got the feeling of pointing it in the air yet can still see the ground.

Just had email from Kerso, despatching today! Woot!

Just hope it arrives before 9.30am tomorrow as we are taking the daughter to see Santa and his reindeer at Baytree Garden Centre in Spalding and would be a good test. (and an excuse to play!!)

I took this at 10mm. I was so close to it, yet the wide-angle makes it look otherwise

Yes, it was. It's a standard Hoya Circular Polarising 77mm (not the HMC Pro-1 version)

Yes. The CP is split in two, so the glass turns freely within the main 77mm mount.

I too have a wide Cokin P adapter (but only using ND Grads with it)

Yeah, that's the only downside I guess :/
