Well I just received the invoice and bank details from Tina for my order of:-

5DIII
24-105 f/4
85 f/1.8
+ 1 year replacement warranty

Total: £2678.00

Logged on to my bank and setup the transfer, only to get a message saying they (Lloyds TSB) will need to verify the payment and it could take up to 24 hours :bang:

Rang Lloyds who ran through umpteen security questions with me and the payment was made there and then

Emailed Tina back and now await confirmation and tracking details....and feeling like a kid waiting for Christmas Day :D

Hoping it'll arrive before the weekend...

What made u go for the 24-105?

I heard & read some pretty good things about the 24-105 and after chatting to the wife we agreed to cut the budget a bit, so I couldn't afford the Tamron 24-70 f/2.8. We also chopped the 70-200 from the shopping list. I might revisit the lenses next year and chop & change if/where necessary.

Hmmmm, nearly 24 hours since I did the bank transfer and I've still not heard anything from Tina... :suspect:

LOL! 1 minute after making the post above I get an email saying they've received the payment and I should receive the tracking info shortly...that's a relief!

Woohoo! Just received my tracking info - eta 2-3 days, so fingers crossed for a Saturday delivery :D

Feeling a little disappointed at the moment.

When Panamoz posted information about their holiday earlier today, I was a little concerned. Although my order had been split into 2 parcels, they were both showing as "ready for UPS" to collect, but UPS hadn't actually collected them from Panamoz at that time.

I emailed "Tina" at Panamoz and was told my parcels would be collected by UPS today, so will be on route to me over the next couple of days.

I've been checking the UPS tracking frequently and can see that 1 parcel has been collected and is now at Howloon Bay in status "export scan". However, the 2nd parcel is still in status "ready for UPS", so I can only assume it didn't make it onto the UPS van :(

Rather disappointed to say the least, since it's the 2nd parcel that's got the camera in it. It's likely that it won't leave Panamoz until next Thursday, October 4th, which is when the next shipment will be made after their holiday, so I probably won't get it until the following Monday.

Nevertheless I'll keep this thread updated....

Just had confirmation from Panamoz that the 2nd parcel was taken by UPS so is also on route. Will keep checking the UPS status.

Well that has cheered you up Darren, I'll be ordering another lens from 'Panamoz' in a couple of months, I can't fault them on service or prices :o)

It certainly has, but I'm still waiting for the UPS tracking to confirm what Panamoz have told me. I'll reserve overall judgement until the order's arrived ;)

That means you'll also get your toys on Monday

Have a good weekend. :)

Fingers crossed! You have a good weekend too

Just want to close this thread off by saying my order was delivered on Monday, all well packaged, English manuals, UK plug etc., so I'm very happy :D

I must say, it's an anxious time sending that amount of cash by bank transfer, knowing full well there's no security should it all go peared-shaped. To be honest, although everything turned out fine, I'm still a little apprehensive about doing it again, regardless of all the good experiences people have had with Panamoz....but I probably will :D
