Yes
No lid, not induction friendly, cheap quality item which will need replacing after a few months, I’d pass ;)

i'm gas only so no need for induction and to be honest all my pans are quite cheep but i have had them for years possibly decades.
see your point about a lid tho

Pity it is not suitable for induction otherwise I would get one. Another thing in it's favour is that it is not made in the People's Republic of Crap.

I can never imagine needing less than two pans :-

Got to have one of these :-

Also thin metal (aluminium) and possibly teflon coated. Stay away

I like it apart from, as mentioned above, it having no lid and I'd like it to be all metal so it could be used in the oven too.

"Product Has Soft-Touch Handles And Knobs "

Not sure that the soft touch handles would survive the oven.
Where are the knobs ?

We have 2 pans that we use a lot, a deep "stew pot" and a large chef's pan. But you can't use them for a couple of scrambled eggs, or a tin of beans (well, you could, but the energy to heat them in a big pan would be a waste).

We did treat ourselves to a new Ninja Kitchen 15 in 1 cooker, and we've hardly used the oven since.

Take a look at the M&S Saute pan, there are two a big one with SS handles and a smaller one with soft touch handles ( OK in the oven to 180 degrees).
I bought the smaller one and it is excellent.

In my house if a meal requires a pan, then it is three pans minimum!

My wife is veggie, I very much am not, and the kids eat what I eat, but with the flavours dialed right down. Every night is effectively three separate meals. :banghead:

Similar here though no vegetarians, just picky eaters. There's 4 of us in the house, I do all the cooking, and it can often be 3 different meals in one night. I like spicey food, so when I'm doing a chilli/burritos or a curry I'll do a milder version to start, dish out for 2 of them and spice it up some more for me, then I'll do a seperate meal for one other who rarely has much of an appetite because of ilness so it'll be soup and bread or a baked spud with cream cheese or just a toastie - I don't mind as I enjoy cooking but could do with some better pans.

I also love a good stir fry and the one wok I have turned out to be not so non-stick. A decent wok and a 2nd decent frying pan are on the list of things to get this year

Mrs Nod is veggie and I'm not but for the most part, we eat the same (hot) meals at home. The exception is chili which gets batch cooked with several portions going in the freezer for later use. I save my meating for when we eat out - luckily, several times per week (including a couple of lunches at the g*lf club)! Could rarely get away with just one pan unless one of us is making soup or a stew.

We often have two pans on the hob and now and again three, so three is our minimum. Mrs WW uses a wok a lot. I like my no stick no oil pan for pancakes.

Mrs WW burns pans.

The last wok I bought was a traditional steel one with no non-stick coating.

I followed a Youtube vid to properly burn it in. It is far and away the best wok I've ever had.

Must have a look in to that, cheers

I treated myself to a set of triple ply stainless steel pans from ProCook, much cheaper than the big name brands but very well made and will last forever. Just all uncoated stainless steel so no non-stick coating to perish, so they'll last forever.

I have had three Pro-cook stainless steel pans for some time and find them to be excellent.
However, I recently got a Pro-cook pan that has a mirror finish inside and out and it feels a tad flimsy. I have boiled chicken in it twice and after washing it looked clean, but on fully drying there were marks that needed elbow grease and a plastic scourer to remove. I am very suspicious that the pan is produce from the People's Republic of Crap.

Quite possibly, they have a fair few ranges now and the build quality definitely differs between them quite dramatically. I splashed out on the Elite Tri Ply and they all feel extremely well made. Needed to buy new pans anyway as the new oven is induction and nothing we had worked on it!
