About an hour ago lots of sirens were heard from about half a mile away then the chopper.... Oscar 99 I tried to get some shots with the 200 but failed as they are far to noisy when cropped, then I sat down for my tea only yo hear an almighty roar ....so up I jumped only to see 4 fast jets very low over our flat and yes the card was still in the reader:bang:

The jets by the way were Hawks an in black livery heading towards lincoln, did anyone get them
 
Pete, sounds typical mate. Twice last summer I had the Lancaster cross my path, once at home with the camera in its bag in the other room and once driving on the A14 unable to stop and camera was in the boot.


Mind you, are you sure this was not a scare tactic from the guy's at RAF Waddington???

No men in black suits and shades, but 4 Hawks all but coming through your living room!!

I think they've found you :lol:
 
I was shooting a wedding last year and was just playing with exposure settings in the church door before the party arrived, when the church shook, and the Lancaster for BOBMF came over at a very low altitude.:)
 
Nope :D between 1-2pm I think, was vacuuming the car, camera upstairs!
Was a little too high for my cam anyway.
 
reminds me of last autumn when I was in Stowe Gardens. Had the 10-22mm on and a spitfire flew over.

Talk about a pimple on a bum.... thats exactly what size the spitfire looked like in the shot I managed to get :bonk:

I can't imagine how quickly you rammed the zoom wheel up to 22mm :lol:

I think we all have had a moment like that:lol::lol::lol:..........or ran out of space on the card whilst waiting for a rather special aircraft to take off.....:suspect:
