Yeah, there is a certain sense of irony about it. 
A DJ on that radio station saw them in Facebook. I couldn't believe my ears, then my sister and a friend texted me up about it a few minutes later.It was a real "Oh . . . well, I'd be damned" kind of moment.

Not that strange, iirc in the late 50's early 60's the BBc had a very popular ventriloquist on the radio!
