Got my memory upgraded to 4gb RAM
But when I checked the system info, it says 2.87 useable, what does that mean?
Thanks for any info

Might be because you have a 32bit OS, OR your board has a limit OR one of your sticks is duff!

It means you're running 32bit Windows which can't address more memory than that. To use more memory you need a 64bit operating system.

Could be spot on, it is 32 bit
Cheers Phil

That was my initial thought but I think it addresses 3.odd Gb:p

Oh well, I will just have a wee whistle in the corner then!

It's all chinese to me guys, I just know, bigger number = faster, and its not saying 4, so I'm peed off
But hey ho, it might be a bit faster

Going to depend on the motherboard. I think if you are sharing memory with the graphics card, it has to come out of the visible 3.x G....
