I'm off to my brothers wedding tomorrow and as a newbie was going to take my 18-200 and tamron 90 but just been told that they are not great but will do.

I also have 17-55 and 70-300
Which would be best.

If they've already got a tog then why not just enjoy your brothers wedding? Probably the 17-55 if you're only taking one lens though I guess.
