Ok so i have brought the gemni 400/400 kit i now want to know what i need so that my camera will set off their flashes as i dont have the port hole for the cable..... am i right in guessing i need a hotshoe ?

Help would be VERY grateful x
 
buy a set of rf-602 radio slaves, dammed reliable and come with cables to hook up to everything I have tried
 
You mean you bought a set of lights (not brought) :)

Radio triggers are the way to go. See Flash in The Pan on here and he can set you up with a transmitter receiver that should set your lights off. asically one of each would do and you just have the other flashes in your kit set to optical.

to get it working right now, put your camera built in flash into manual mode (rather than ttl - entry level canon's can't do this.) and fire away... :)

radio triggers are where it's at though...
