Yes
I got the 300D & 18-55mm zoom Lens
Camera strap
USB transfer cable
Charger with 2 batteries (Original and spare)
Video Cable to connect to a TV
512Mb memory card

All for £130!! Should be here by Monday so prepare yourselves for a torrent of terrible beginner pictures from myself :-)

Sounds a great deal, get swatting up on aperture, shutter speed and ISO :D

It's amazing how much camera you can buy for so little nowadays - enjoy :)

They go for this price body only in most places. So I got lucky really. At least I know that I can sell it on for roughly that same price if I decide it's not for me

Anything else I will need in addition to the things listed?

Tons of stuff Ben, but for now just something to give the lens a clean off with, Lenspen or microfibre cloth to clean the front/rear element of dust and other crud

and perhaps a cheap bag

Have a butchers in Jessops, they are selling their older range of Trek 2 bags off silly cheap and use code bags&cases10 to get an extra 10% off, something like this http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/77271/show.html

hope you enjoy your new found hobby the 300d is easy to use so you should find it a good starter body theres a few lenes pop up on ebay now and then cheap enough if you keep a look out too.

Great stuff. I've taken some of my favourite pictures with a 300D.

I hope you do well with it :D

I think that the biggest it'll format is 8gb but don't take my word for that, it's worth checking.

Try and buy several 4gig cards rather than one big card. Better to have your shots spread over a few cards than lost on one faulty card!

Off to Jessops now to buy a 4 gig! Amd I'm going to collect it instead of postage as I'm going up that way anyway for a car remap. What's an extra 30mins in the car so I don't have to wait for postman pat!

Great news. I've still got mine and use it, get nice shots with it.

Enjoy it :-)

Congrats! I had a 300D once and it never let me down :)

I wouldn't bother with a filter though. They degrade performance and as long as you look after your kit, you won't scratch the glass. If you drop it, the 18-55mm probably won't survive anyway and is cheap enough to replace ;)

You've been for a larger card - don't worry about buying anything very fast as it won't write to it quick enough to justify the extra cost, a Sandisk Ultra card will be more than quick enough.

To go with what you now have, I'd suggest the Canon 55-250IS lens, a good match to the 18-55 focal length and it's a belter of a lens, ESP for the price.

I'd agree with this, the only filter I might think about is a circular polariser. I got one and you can use it okay, just need to be mindful of the front element moves when you focus.

Doh! Just won another 300d on eBay that I forgot I'd bid on! Think I'll pay for it pillage it for parts then sell the body on. Like bloody buses!

You'll get access to the classifieds here sooner or later so if you don't want it you can advertise it here.
