Why did I do that I wonder?
Well earlier this year I sold my Oly OM1, 2 and 4 (never quite had the funds for a 3) and always rather regretted doing so. I tended to use just a 50mm lens so wasn't worried by the loss of the other lenses I had in shorter and longer focal lengths.
At the same time I continued to collect Mamiya 35mm cameras - rangefinders and SLRs - because, well, they were a bit unusual. I sold all my Canon FL/FD mount cameras and don't miss them at all. I kept my two EF mount 35mm Canons an EOS 1N and an EOS 3 and use them a lot.
I wonder if this is the start of something which could end up in the disposal/dispersal of the Mamiya collection and the reduction in the overall fleet of 35mm cameras?
I've had a brief fling with folders but whilst enjoying the ergonomics of them I have not been thrilled by any of the MF 120 folders I've tried but do get real pleasure from a Kodak Retinette: it's a truly pocketable camera and unless I happen to have a light meter with me it's a "think it through and dial it it" piece of equipment which makes me think about exposure.
Now I need to buy an Oly 50mm lens but there's no hurry...
