Finally i got my hands on a D4 as a good friend sold me one of his for a very cheap price, thought id try a high ISO test shot and it blew me away what a amazing camera.

If anyone is thinking of upgrading to one of these then dont think twice, i upgraded from a D300 as i work in motorsport and the D300 is a very capable body but the D4 is just on a different level in every way.

Taken at about 330pm in foggy conditions at dusk, ISO 6400 1/800 and lens is a 70-200 f2.8 at f2.8

It's a great camera, welcome to the club :)

Got one too, absolutely fantastic but after a year of normal use it's been in with Nikon for a replacement lens release button and back again now since seeing smoke coming from the card slot..!! Playing with a D810 in the meantime which reminds me of my old D300 in so many ways, just far better quality images. Enjoy!

Absolutley love mine as well, and think it will be buried with me :-)

Not really a criticism, but a feature of pro bodies but it's a little large and heavy to take everywhere, but tried the DF (same sensor), but just couldn't get on with the body, grip and AF system, so instead I've gone for a D750 (as near to the D4's MP count as I can get) for when I want to travel light. As fantastic as the D750 is - it's no D4 !

haha hope not, but does that mean im not lying here with Cherol Cole !

To be honest, I don't think Cheryl Cole will be of much use to you. Nikon haven't changed their mount in years so none of your lenses will fit her.

yeah its big but ive always had grips on my D300 so not worried and its mostly used for work so have a black rapid strap. Going to keep one of my D300's as a back up and also handy for days out when i dont need a pro body and can take the 300 without a grip :)
