Just bought a 400d advice plz

As the title says just bought a 400d with this camera i want to keep a check on the amount of pictures i take so i have set it to continuous numbering what i want to know is do you have to use the same CF card or can you use different ones

you can use different ones... with continuous number it does just that.

But ... if you ever use a CF card that's been in a different camera, your sequential numbering might go stray. You're fine as long as you use your CF cards in your camera only.

I have a 350d aswell that i never set it to continuous numbering am i best getting another cf card just for the 400d?

Just format it first mate and all will be fine.
