Back on topic this would have spelled disaster for the snp and their administration. The economy would have collapsed. Of course the hardened tin foil hat lot would say it's a world wide conspiracy to quell the Scots unrest and a big conspiracy to keep their people oppressed...LOL

I was thinking that the low oil price may have been "engineered" to give Putin & Co and kick in the nuts. Russian finances were never healthy, but things have got much worse with the drop in oil revenue.

Exactly, it seems to me there will be collusion to bring this effect around. Sadly, the prices will keep going up and things will become very expensive (they still are) for the British motorist.
