Just about to order the Canon G9X, but...

I was just about to order a Canon G9X as the price has come down a little. But, I have just noticed the G9X MK11 is due out pretty soon. The Mk1 is priced at £357, while the MK11 is priced at £399. I have decided to hold off for a little while, as the MK1 will probably drop even further. Plus the MK11 will fall in price soon after it is brought out. Don't fancy buying camera, only to find it drops significantly in a very short time.

I've been interested in the G9X and looking at these too. The MkII looks to be a relatively small update so I was also hoping the MkI may drop in price.

I found it available for £357 and also further Canon cashback offer of a further £25, I can't imagine it will be reduced much further soon?

I've actually just picked up a used S120 so won't be buying one now, but do post your thoughts if you go for one as sure I'll consider one in future!

Jessops and Wilkinson Cameras, plus many others are selling the G9X MK1 for £349 with £25 cash back. The G9X MK 11 is priced at £449, before not too long, it will probably be reduced by £100 odd. I did put the MK1 in my shopping tray, but held back after seeing the MK11 flash up. Got a feeling, anyone buying the MK1 or MK11 now, will lose money very quickly.

I did have my eye on the Canon S120 also, but I really did want a small camera with a good sized sensor. Was also looking at the Sony RX 100, but the Sony is not truly pocketable. Don't think there is anything else out there, the size of the G9X, with such a good sized sensor.

Will definitely get one, when the price levels out.
