But we do not need as many traffic wardens, they are only there to fleece the motorist, we do need bobbies on the beat.

i can see your point, i think they are mostly in the wrong place, what we need is traffic wardens keeping people off red routes and corners not ticking people for being 5 mins over there parking tickets.
