there is a 30ft well

in the well is a frog

each day the frog jumps 3 foot but falls back 2 foot

how many days does it take the frog to get out of the well?:bonk:
 
30 to get to top of well and 1 to get out 31

He never gets out because the Health & Safety Police stop him for not wearing a safey harness, not having the climbing course, not wearing protective head gear, and not having a safety frog.
 
I think it's 30 days :thinking::suspect: although does he fall 2 feet back into the well on the ... oh I give up - too much thinking logically after a long weekend:lol:
 
my calculations are he moves a foot a day for 27 days and on the 28th day he moves 3ft and gets out
 
Well that's what we thought, on the 28th day, he moves his 3 feet out of the well and falls back 2 feet but that won't be back in the well so I'm going for the obvious 30days:shrug:

once hes climbed out he cant fall back , can he ? :thinking::thinking:
 
Would've thought it'd be the obvious 30 days. As he makes that last final 3 feet leap, it would have been the 30th day.



Or is it the 29th day?

Does he make his 3' leap and manage to hang on to the top of the well? In which case it's 27.

If he slips back down and has to try again, the answer must be 28 I think . . .


Although I'd imagine he'd have died of dehydration way before getting to day 27 :p
 
he cant jump out!

wells are built like ¦ ¦ and a frog cant jump straight up :lol:
 
either that or a frenchman spotted him ...
climbed down with a rope ladder..
climbed back out...

started a BBQ and had some open fire roasted frogs legs next to the well :P

8 days as follows:

30 feet = 9.14 metres.

Day1 Kermit Jumps to 3m and falls back to 1m
Day2 Kermit Jumps to 4m and falls back to 2m
Day3 Kermit Jumps to 5m and falls back to 3m
Day4 Kermit Jumps to 6m and falls back to 4m
Day5 Kermit Jumps to 7m and falls back to 5m
Day6 Kermit Jumps to 8m and falls back to 6m
Day7 Kermit Jumps to 9m and falls back to 7m
Day8 Kermit Jumps to 10m and is FREE!!!

Not really, my response was to the link posted by u8myufo, which states that the well is 30ft deep, but the frog's jumps were measured in metres.

The original post is 30ft and the jumps are in feet also, so my answer does not stand on the OP....

This frog never gets out of the well..

- as on the first day, he jumps up 3 foot and drops 2 feet, after that he cannot jump up any more............................:)
