Hi All,

Doing some photos for a friend who manages an U9's football team this Sunday.

Putting together a package of 1 team photo in a mount and 4 individual photos for each parent for end of season presentation night.

Nothing too complex I appretiate but just wondering how you would pose the lads for their individual shots.....

One knee down with football on grass.
Stood up and holding football.
Stood up football at feet (Hands infront or behind)

Just need a hand making my mind up.

Cheers

Dan

What about have them run at you with the ball at feet. Something a little dynamic.

I think you have it just about covered Dan...I do a 12x8 landscape print with three images on it. 1 landscape team shot roughly in the middle with two portrait shots either side.
I choose a suitable football background with the name , team and date/year on it ....Goes down a treat ....The two portrait shots might be a posed kneeling down with the ball and the other an action shot or as the other poster mentioned, a semi posed action shot.

This is what I'm planning on doing in the summer for my football team's profile shots

For the one where they are kneeling, shoot down on them so that the background is the grass behind them I find it makes a nicer image and prevents any distratctions in the background getting in to shot.

You would be very very lucky to get them looking up.. even if you tell them.. they will instinctively look down to feet/ball.. good idea and doable but might take a few goes and usual not got that much time :)

I agree. Try getting them to run at you in goal celebration. Just be ready to get bowled over!

LOL I learnt the hard way with that one used the 24-70 and said run towards me from way over there as if you have just scored. Wrong you also need to tell them to either run arround you or stop before they run in to you. Managed to not hit the camera but I ended up on my butt and back like a beatle. Working with kids is brillaint.
