Bloody hell have I been busy latley :gag:

Well on Wednesday I found out that two of my workmates were getting married yesterday on Thursday. They asked me to take the pictures for them ages ago but I obviously said no because I didnt want them to put me before some other pro wedding photographer. What I didnt know was that they didnt actually have a photographer! It was only a cheap budget wedding at a registry office, only about 15 guests including about 12 from work, no family unfortunately and no wedding car etc......

So the day before they get married, the beg me to take some pictures for them...... sooooo I said yes! Bloody hard work! I took about 200 pics and i'm pretty pleased with most of them, was a lot easier due to the no family pics etc so that took a lot of the persure off. Also I did it for free so again the presure was off if I didnt deliver the goods, plus I got a day of work for it too.

Anyway the couple are away for two weeks now so that gives me some time to PP them a little.

Apart from that, I booked the college studio for a few hours on Wednesday night for some casual portrait shots of Laura my girlfriend, my best mate and his GF so I have about 180 shots to search through for them too. Also going to the Isle of Arran next weekend!

I'll try and get some shots up when I get chance, havent a clue when that may be as I also need to finish my college work for next Wednesday too :D

Hell, i'm going to be busy!

took me a while to work that one out

well done on what seems to have been a steep but productive learning curve - I think as long as people you do things like this for are made aware of what to expect at the end then go for it!

Blinking Blunky Blimey :D

Your going to be so nackard ant you?

The couple are not expecting anything amazing. They were just going to put up with the photos that the guests were taking to start with! I thought, sod it whats the worst that could happen  A little experience cant hurt.

I'm pleased with them so I hope they will be too!

Now I need a 18-200mm lens! Pain in the arse swapping them :(

Oh just found out that a woman that the GF works with wants me to take some pics of her daughter before she goes to her school prom next month some time. :woot:

Sounds like the perfect step into giving wedding photography a try. Good on you for helping them out though :) I wouldn't mind giving it a try at some point but in a non-essential capacity.

I was asked by (lets try to get this right) my cousin's wife's mother to take the wedding photos for her daughter (my cousin's wife's sister), it was a full on wedding with all the trimmings and I didn't want to practice on something that big so declined.

The wedding was rather, erm, unorganised too. Bride was late, Groom didnt know where the meal was afterwards nor how to get to the park. I also managed to get lost around the back end of the town hall where they got married and nearly ended up in a room full of about 300 school kids that thought I was there to take pics of them!
