So after the uproar yesterday what does everyone think of it? for those that haven't seen it

he addmitted he was alittle rash afterwards and is now out injured

Personally I think yeah he has a problem early in the season and now this makes hiim look worse, he was pushing like crazy all race and did well to catch the leaders, not to sure what punishment maybe dished out but personally i think the injury keeping him out for around a month that is enough in itself to make him think twice
 
looks like was pushing a little hard there now i dont think a punishment should be served as they say racing is racing he wanted to win unfortunatley pushed to hard and there is what happens i think he will of learnt his mistake why punish someone
 
It was alot of people in the heat of the moment saying he was an idiot etc, especially after he crashed into Sylvain Guintoli earlier this year which broke his leg.

some of the "midfield" were running in the top 3 aswell so they werent happy as it wrecked a good weekend for them

he did say because he was pushing hard and the corner brakes from 150mph to 25/30mph he had braked late, and as the road is bumpy his back wheel wasn;t connected with the floor properly which also stopped him braking proberly

I agree with the no punishment thing aswell
 
racing incident, he just lost it under braking (looked to me like the rear kicked up and locked as whitey said) it wasnt intentional, so shouldnt be served with a penalty, the incident was only really made 'remarkable' by everyone skating off on his fluids.
 
It could have been much much much worse then it was, Josh actually punch the rear wheel of the bike he took out with his hand for start.

The over take was incredibly ambitious to say the very least, especailly considering there is a very big bump on that side of the track that he would have needed to be braking hard on, that bump throw the rear wheel up in the air (which you cant see from the original angle) not only that but he was trying to out brake one of the best of the last brakers. He had tried and failed on laps before that against Walker from closer then he was at that time.

Personally yes on the face of it a racing incident, but saying that as a race it looked to me that he was getting more and more reckless/desperate lap by lap to get in front of Walker. Based on that and a couple of other incident at Donington Park where he got a suspended ban then this was easily a full on 2 race ban.

This is the trouble with hairpins those they can suck people in to rash moves.

For me the biggest issue is that the result wasnt counted back meaning although those involved didnt score points.
 
He made a mistake, and was big enough to admit it, so fair play. The injury he has from the crash sounds horrifically painful too. The real talking point should be the ridiculous rule that stripped the 6 riders who fell of their rightful result. Taking a snapshot of the result when the red flag is shown, and eliminating anybody who is on the floor at the time is unfair and stupid. When a red flag is shown, the race is stopped, and so the lap is never completed. Therefore, it never officially happened, and the result should be taken from the standings at the end of the last completed lap. I feel sorry for Simon Andrews and MSS Colchester, they won that race and it was taken away from them by silly rules
 
Also agree with the countback aswell, its always funny how Camier didn't get the best of starts and still comes out well
 
See I think he is ok persoanlly.

he does push to the max but the lines and speed he brings out of the corners is something else

watching him out the devils elbow on sunday was great
 
He was penalised for making the race into a mockery to be honest... thats why they spanked him. Had it just been him and Andrews I doubt if it would have come to anything...

Did you see Walker in the second race saying about how hard his knackers got smacked into the tank when he was hit in the back? He said it was a good job his Mrs already had a bun in the oven because he didn't think it was likely he'd be able to produce one now!

Mind you, talk about balls of steel - from that descprition I don't think I would have been out in race two... I'd have been looking for a velvet cushion to console myself with... :D

I am in two minds, one thing I have always been taught though is that rules are rules and as a rider or team in a series you sign up knowing those rules are in place. Sometimes those rules go your way, sometimes they don't. Simon Andrews rode a cracking race and did not deserve to be punted off, I guess like Guintollio didn't deserve to be punted off - if you listen to the Whitham commentary, Jamie was sucking air and tutting at Brookes on more than one occasion for the moves he was trying to make and the lines he was using to try and make the moves.

I am happy that Brookes has got the Ban, yes he lost the front but the speed in which he was trying to haul it in from I doubt he would have made it anyway.

I am an Ellison fan though and the result went our way.

I agree that rules are rules, and they were applied as set out in the rule book. But sometimes the law is an ass...

The rules made the race mockery TBH, i think the officials had no choice but to ban after there Donington ruling, otherwise you'd be getting inconsistancy with the judgements. I do think the ban is a tad harsh though, then again we dont get the data from the bikes that the panel gets. Does seem that governing bodies are becoming a little OTT not just in BSB but other type of motorsport to.

The law can be an ass yes, yes the results are a joke, but to not follow and apply the rules set in place is aking for major major issues if something else happens later in the year. Hopefully we'll not get another incident like that.
 
Just read about the ban

Find it alittle strange to be honest as the guy is injured anyway, he will be out longer with the injury than the ban

the other thing I personally think is yes it was one of those things that happen in racing, he has admitted he was in the wrong, but surely getting injured from antics would make you think twice about it again in the future than a ban IMO

HM Plant now have a problem aswell with both their riders being out
 
Not sure as to when the ban is in force though, i.e the next 2 races pointless excersie as he'l be out for longer then that, or from his fit, which might not be until next year. Assuming he is around next year in BSB, which part of me is doubting.

HM Plant rider issue wont be as major as you'd think. Plater will be on one for sure, and is already contracted to race for them on the supersport bike. Broggie rode the last round for them as there was no stocks racing, also contracted to race for them so could be up for the ride.

But theres plenty of world class riders floating around without rides at the moment, sure it wouldnt be too hard to find a cheap/free replacement .
 
Plater wont be on the superbike apparantly, only the supersport

Will be interesting none the less
