Is it just me or was the recent one terrible? What crime was he supposed to be solving? The stabbing? Then why did they show us how it happened first? Wierd.

And the scene where the text came through about the dead father, cringingly, embarrassingly bad.

If it wasnt for Sarah Alexander in tight jeans Id have probably turned it off.

Must admit I really didn't get it at all...as you said why show us what happened before its been solved
 
I watched most of the original series, but lost interest towards the end of that.
I've not watched it (him) since.
 
Turned it off after about 20 mins, boring as get out!
 
Not good at all. I can only think they are setting it up for his way back into solving crimes, as they made such a big thing of him NOT doing it now.
 
Last time I watched one before this series the blonde with the big knockers out of 'two packets of lager' was in it. What happened to her?
 
I gave up on it here too, as you say, there wasn't a crime to be solved given it was shown in the opening 2 minutes :( Very Poor.
 
Im delaying my judgement until this Fridays episode. If they show how it was done right at the beginning again I probably wont watch the rest of the series. Im hoping it was a one off and that they will revert to the original formula :)
 
Also, why did the make up guy feel the need to hide the fake skin stuff anyway?
 
Glad it wasn't just me. Not a patch on the original series. Hope the next two episodes show a lot of improvement.
 
Sheridan Smith in previous series was a big draw for me! Shame she's been replaced by the telentless Sarah Alexander.

As for this episode, me and the Mrs switched it off after 15 mins when they mentioned a 3 week old baby dying, I was holding our 2 week old girl at the time!
 
Just had to sit through it as the wife likes it. Personally I not keen on Alan Davies, but even the wife thought it was poor.
 
For the first time I turned it off 1/3 way in. It had none of the guessing and the fun just nastiness.
