Hi,

Inspired by picking up a D90, 50mm F1.4G, and 35mm f1.8G I decided to start this! Here are the results after just over a week.

Thanks for the comments guys :)... Today I drove 500 miles to Manchester and back then argued with 2 of my girlfriends... however I was still determined to capture something!

The journey today gave me some space to think. I've decided to stop just taking photographs of 'things' and try and use photography to reveal parts of my life :). I've lived a very colourful lifestyle but most people don't know the half of it... and certainly wouldn't know it given the things I've 'achieved'... so with that in mind...

Day 11 - A window into my lovelife... Isn't technology wonderful? Nok is a stripper I met in Thailand. She adores me but I don't feel the same way... she gets ****ed because I date other girls in England and Thailand... More on that aspect of my life when the wheels touch down in 4 weeks.

More on my background to come. Currently I run a team of 50 people spread out across the UK and India responsible for delivering large IT projects into the telecoms industry. I'm only 29 but seem to have moved up quickly through the business...

For you other brand whores that is a Breitling Chronomat Evolution and Mont Blanc Meisterstuck. The cash does have relevance as the day job isn't my only income stream...

365 kinda sounds like one photograph per day, right? Well I've decided it means shooting at least once per day... but if a few shots describe what you see or your emotions that day then why not log more than one. It's my 365 after all!

Day 12.2 - Testing some ideas for a future day. I have a very specific image in my mind that I want to create. It will be trickyish to do and I think I need another strobe to fully realise it. Here is the 'backdrop' to that idea:

Eurgh... having such trouble concentrating at the moment. No idea why. Sat at my desk all day and did pretty much nothing. Does anyone else get like this sometimes? I love cycling and managing my investments but not found the energy for too long. Maybe I just need to exercise more. Anyway, I was fiddling with the bikes in my garage and I saw this.. thought it described my mood... kinda like I have all these ambitions and thoughts of positive things in my head however just can't seem to motivate myself to make them a reality...

So tired today so not a particularly creative shot! Cooking is one of my passions in life :). Maybe it's not so much the cooking part but more the reaction I get from other people. There is something very masculine about being able to provide for other people in that sort of way especially when there is a big chunk of dead animal involved :).

Got out on my bike today and feel more focused again. It was cool re-acquainting myself with the forest trails. I told myself 'no jumping, take it slow' but then two guys started following my on the singletrack... couldn't help but show off... damn lucky I landed the drop off after not riding for months!

One of the reasons I LOVE a P&S that can shoot in RAW... the duck was way under exposed so I blinged him up a little bit in Photoshop :D

just found this 365, very impressed so far. 3,4 and 8 stand out from the earliest ones, 12 is a good'un, nicely processed. liking todays alot...

Update today inspired by booking my flights for May... 3 weeks in PARADISE!

I might choose to shoot later today however for now I've decided to finally get round to processing some RAW images from my last trip (to me that counts.. and it is my 365 after all ;)). Here are the SFW versions.. (Powershot S90 again.. ace for low light snapshots)

Some incredible images there Joe.

Day 13.3 and day 18 are my favourites so far.

Your use of colour in many of these shots is superb and the images are pin sharp.

Look forward to seeing more.

20.3 is the stand-out from that group for me, great colour and focus. love 21, my sort of picture, great use of dof and processing...
