John's Photo 52 - Week 27 Added (10th July) - Highlight

Clean, crisp, well composed and musical - what more can one ask :)

And it fits the theme :D Superb!!!

Thanks very much Jean. I do too.

Oooohhhh - I do like this.

It's one of those simple-looking shots which I know I'd have taken twice as long to get just half as good a result. :D

Also great interpretation of the theme. I hope you get round to playing it very soon. :)

Jean

:agree: Yes a very nice shot indeed Sir...:clap::clap:

Anything shiny is a nightmare to get right but you have done superb job on this one...

Thanks very much Marcus

the lighting on the flute is perfect imo :D

Thanks Ruth, had some of those massive dull gray diffusers running between me and the blue of the sky :D

I can't believe that I missed this when I was looking through the 52s yesterday.

I have a real thing for black backgrounds, but the simplicity of the flute against it is quite beautiful.

NP Sarah, thanks very much. I will confess I sort of went back to an idea I had, and a set I took, when I first got the camera, but I've learnt a lot in a year and that made it much easier to capture what I wanted to. I feel a need to revisit and capture more though.

Thanks Jeff... Something like

You mean :D ? I used a 16:9 crop and I think it's worked very well indeed. I must confess it never occurred to me, thanks for the pointer.

This is a cracking shot John. Just using natural light too. The simple black background sets it off to perfection, and the crop on the second shot gives the flute much more prominence.

Well done that man :clap::clap::clap:

Now get playing again :D

Thanks very much Jill, wish I had the time.
