In that case I haven't got long left on this ea.....

RIP, tbh I thought he had died 10+ years ago.

LOL @ Janice, also RIP to our Honourable Member of Bury - Marcel, who passed away at his keyboard at 11:09am on this day;)

The lasting image of the time is Christine Keeler on the chair - how many times has it been copied or sent up?

You only have to look at the pic's of Christine Keeler back then and think ......... Ohhhh excuse me sir, you would - wouldn't you. :whistle2:

Deffo Christine Keeler back then...

Grrr...

And even Joanne Whalley (who was the actress who played her in 'Scandal') wasn't too shabby til she married Val Kilmer...

he was very well spoken of on the radio yesterday, all sorts of old folk saying how good he was, so RIP

Whalley-Kilmer, just wasnt right was it

Well back in the 60s when it all hit the fan he was Minister For War, youngest guy ever to hold the post I believe, an ambitious git, and not particularly likeable in the least. After he fell from grace he spent the rest of his life working among down and outs in Londons East End, became a very different fella, and quite contented with his lot. He paid a high price for his mistake though, although he professed to have no regrets.
