Anyone know of a shop that has some jobo spares? the heater on my cpe-2 is broken so i need a replacement from somewhere. I cant find much on google. There might be some second hand film equipment supplier out there somewhere with some bits in stock though.
 
As a very, very last resort you could use an immersion heater...mind you I'm not sure if you can get one under 230v :eek: or place the JOBO on a hot plate, I used to use it dev prints with my Paterson.
 
yeah i checked ebay, the part itself is nowhere to be seen but it might be worth cannibalizing something like that. I did think of getting a fish tank heater/thermostat but it would be nice just to fix it.
 
Spares are hard to come by, it might be a good idea to buy a complete one and use the broken one as spares.
There is an American site, that ships world wide, that advertises spares.
 
thanks chaps. I dont really want to bin it as it was one that came with a lift so cost me a few quid. But it might me a case of finding a working one and putting the two together.
 
panic over, after a bit of investigation it turns out there is an easily missed, microscopically small and well hidden switch on the side of the unit that i didnt notice



A quick reset press and all is working again :)
 
If all else fails- read the instructions. :)
Useful for others to know.

It still might be useful to have a look for a cheap donor unit for spares.
