I find myself in an unusual position... I've been in my current job for five years now and, recently, its becoming unbearable there, with much sniping and backstabbing.
On top of that, I've not been happy there for a while, so I think its time to move on, so what I'm wondering is... can anyone recommend any job search sites?
I've joined reed.co.uk, the jobsearch unlimited thing, and indeed.co.uk already, so I'm looking for alternatives.

Many thanks in advance.

You don't work at the same place as me do you?

I'm in exactly the same position....... Tried applying for some internal positions but (at the risk of sounding paranoid) I believe I'm being "blocked" as the feedback I'm receiving on why I was unsuccessful seems to be contradictory.

Will be watching this thread with interest :)

Are you on LinkedIn? There are quite a lot of recruitment consultants on there, so it is good for networking with them.

What sort of job do you want as there are specific sites for jobs, ie I look at CW Jobs for IT

Thanks for the advice guys... I'll look at signing up to linkedin tomorrow morning... already on indeed.co.uk, that does seem to the best of the bunch so far.

Just don't apply for a job with Currys, unless you can dance ;)

A lot of sites have the same jobs (totaljobs is another) but one of the worst funnily enough is the jobcentre site.

Dependent on your skill set, it might be worth signing up with appropriate agencies as well. They can often source people straight from their database so won't always advertise positions they have if they already have suitable candidates.
