for those who don't know about it, jet master make a really simple to use display system for prints.

The JetMaster frame comprises a pre-cut, laminated self-adhesive board to which a paper or canvas print is pressed, then trimmed and folded to make a 3D gallery wrap print

Innova Art has now specifically made two papers for this cheap and easy to use system

The JetMaster paper has been specially developed to allow the print to stretch without cracking as the 3D frame is assembled. Its unique pliability produces perfect finished corners and the paper has the strength to withstand being peeled back and repositioned if necessary. The JetMaster paper is available in two finishes, one Smooth the other Embossed to replicate the surface texture and appearance of canvas.

I've got some samples to play with so once I've profiled the paper and my jet master kits have come I'll let you know what I think.

To assist our customers in making the perfect JetMaster frame visit www.jetmaster-systems.com. We have created an On-Line Print Utility for all frame formats within the Jetmaster range. The print utility enables users to make a professional gallery wrap without the need for photoshop or other proprietory software

I'd be very interested in your feedback.

Looking at the Fine Art Foto site I can find A3+ packs that say "no canvas". I'm confused. Is that everything (substrate and frame) that I need apart from the canvas paper I print on?

I.e. what's in the box? ;)

you can get a 3 pack with canvas or a 10 pack without canvas if you want to use your own.

so everything you need is in the box other than the paper with the 10 pack.

Thanks - I see that in the A4 packs. I guess I'll give those a go before splashing out on the A3.

You tried it yet?

not yet I ordered an A3+ 3pack, the A4 trial pack and the two innova trial packs when I got the new paper. I've got my own canvas that I'll use on the A3+ ones.

going to give them as Xmas pressies :)

ok I've had a chance to play about with this system for a bit.

Using heavy canvas puts a bit of strain on the adhesive so I'll update this is a while so I can see how long it lasts lol

Using lighter papers its pretty simple to use - make an out line PSD then fit your print so that it fits in the aperture of the folds. Print, remove adhesive backing yada yada yada as in the video above.

I've used a few papers for this system and the innova jetmaster paper is the best IMHO if you are after the canvas look. If you want to use a glossy paper make sure it is light weight (200gsm etc) as thicker paper is more difficult to fold and hold in place.

I've done a couple of these (A3+ frames)for xmas presents and they have been recived really well.

up on the wall you can't tell the difference between the jetmaster and a pain in the arse wood frame.

The A4 frames make nice coffee table prints.

The most difficult part for me was cutting my 24 inch roll canvas into 13 inch strips lol

Totally recommended

Thanks Poah for the link, I really like the look of this and will be trying it out very soon.

It looks a very simple economical display system, it's something I for one have been looking for.

I was wondering if some mount spray, as long as it did not interfere with the adhesive might

help with heavier types of media.

Dont suppose youve got a linky for the innova embossed paper please :naughty: Ive managed to find loads and loads of places that sell the boxes, but can only find the innova canvas's to go with. With the problems i've had trying to print canvas in the past, a thinner paper look alike would be the perfect solution.

Cheers

No idea where you can get the paper but I'll give my contact an email and find out some details

Thanks ;) rocking horse poo springs to mind

I got my A3+ versions from fine art foto. You can also buy innova test packs for a 1p each and an A4 trial of the jet master for 50p (one each per order)

still no word on their paper which is a shame :( Lewis had his P3 photo done at school by tempest - image was well wonky so had to straighten it and clone in blue areas. God knows what they are using but the images are not particularly sharp kinda disapointed actually. but I made a canvas print and used the jetmaster display system.

really impressed with the easy of using this system - for home use I'd not use anything else.
