yesterdays jet crash at the car auction site turns out to be members of the bin laden family ,is it karma or does anyone else with a suspicious mind like mine think possibly black ops ?????

I have that suspicion.
BL family is highly regarded by the Suadi hierarchy (according to the BBC - who can always be trusted :puke:)

If it was it would have been an op gone wrong in my opinion. But yes slightly surprising.

Why do I not give a flying f*** (pun intended!!!!).

Seems as though a few members of that family have been killed in air accidents. Karma or bad luck?

People really do find conspiracy theories in everything. As soon as New Horizons arrived at Pluto the internet was awash with theories that it was all a hoax.

hmmmmm all very well saying its a theory ,until you look at the FACT that this is the first ever crash of any of the embraer aircraft to date .

I love a conspiracy theory as much as the next weirdo, but why the Bin Laden family.

They dis-owned Osama long before 9/11 didn't they?

Did they ? How can you be sure of that. What they (and many others) say in public does not count for a great deal. Claim responsibility for some things, disclaim responsibility for other things. You just never know.

Nobodies every overshot a runway before?

I would expect a plane that overshoots to go around again. I had assumed they were struggling to reach the runway but, sadly, didn't make it.

From the admittedly small amount of info, I've read, it sounds like it crashed from the air, rather than rolling off the end of the runway.

It's all obviously speculation at this point.

seems like suspicions are being raised elsewhere as well ,according to todays bbc

Leftovers from the moon landings hoax conspiracy theorists?

Some reports are saying it was an attempted go around after an aborted landing, but the plane caught the top of the perimeter fence which brought it down into the adjoining site.

For example:

“He may have misjudged it and landed too far down the runway, and then couldn’t stop it. Or he may have touched down, realised he wasn’t going to stop and put the power on to go around again. But it doesn’t look as if it was going very fast when it ended up in the car park – it’s not ploughed a furrow through millions of cars.”

Eyewitnesses said the plane’s engines were “screaming” as it approached the runway, while others said the aircraft had clipped the fence of the car auction centre before spinning around and crashing.

:D
Although these days the technology is far more advanced than it was in 1969 ;)

It looks like a very small crash site, like a vertical crash, I have expected a heavy jet travelling at speed to take out a lot more cars than that horizontally as in landing

It appears to be that way. I don't know, could anything upset a jet so it just tips over nose down instead of dragging on the ground for few hundred meters. Unless it completely exploded on the touchdown (what was in the cargo bay?!) and there was nothing left to travel further.

Eyewitness said it was in a vertical dive, make of that what you will ! Not the normal approach to the runway.

Maybe it was a Harrier and they identified it wrongly :)

So it's either a catastrophic failure , suicide or murder , early reports seemed to suggest a bad landing

Don't they have 2 pilots , I'd assume both would be in the cockpit at takeoff and landing, flying it straight into the ground would be one hell of an error, maybe illness if the captain passed out and the co pilot couldn't re gain control

It can be one or two pilots on that type. The (single) pilot was an experienced Jordanian flyer. The other 3 casualties were passengers.

Or perhaps a drone was sucked into the engine :p

more likely CIA or perhaps little jimmy smith from aldershot trying out his new birthday present :coat:

Or Osama when he and Elvis drunk too much on his Hampshire estate they always get up to no good.

It had just avoided a microlight.

Initial reports suggest he was landing too fast, too steep an approach and too late on the runway. The microlight may have added to the issues, but it wasn't the only one

This is what happens when all your pilot is trained on is a copy of MS flight SIM

Yes, the microlight "encounter" was on the downwind leg.

Sounds like too high and too fast.
" Another one of those incidents where interested folk will forever think " I wonder why the pilot (25 years experience) did that".
