I have an unused Jessops slide film mailer. Any ideas if I'm likely to see the film again if I send it off now they've gone bump? I'm assuming the processing was done by an outside lab.

Cheers

processing of E6 and B&W films were done by an outside company called CEWE. The stores themselves should be around for a little while, so perhaps go in and ask. If a "slide film mailer" (I have no idea what this is btw :D) is a prepaid service, you can safely bet that they wont honour it. Otherwise, the turn around time for most 'dev by mail' services that jessops offer/offered is about 2-3 weeks.

I should have said a pre-paid processing envelope, sorry. Bloody Americanisms creeping in!

I wonder if CEWE will do anything to release a replacement E6 mailer with anyone? £4 to get a 36 exposure slide roll developed was a very good price. Wonder how many of the Jessops E6 mailers went through CEWE & if the loss of such a cheap & reliable processing could be another nail in the E6 coffin?
