Jessops, Manchester

Has anyone noticed the shop on the corner just across from HMV on Market Street in Manchester centre? It has stickers on that says new Jessops store opening soon, just wondered if it might be like the new Jessops in Birmingham that allows more 'hands on'.

Yep, it's going to be just like the one in Brum I believe - think they call it "world camera centre"

One of the things that really irks me about Jessops is the cameras behind the glass. They should make the hands on thing the norm, not just part of special centres...

I think they are moving away from cameras behind glass, the store in the trafford centre have all their cameras out so you can handle them. The staff told me about the new store, its opening at the end of the month I believe

it sounds like they are getting back on their feet, it was a pity when the shop on Deansgate closed, it displaced some very knowledgeable staff....
