Hi I was just wondering if anyone has ordered anything from Jessops where availability is referred to as "usually available within 28 days"?

I have just ordered a 300 afs f4 Nikkor and am now wondering if i've made a mistake! I have developed a nagging doubt - Will they be able to fulfill my order?

When I click link to track order it says - "on back order"

Should I cancel & re-order from for instance Grays of Westminster.

Ian (Kerso) generally doesn't stock Nikon. If you click on the Nikon link on his web, there is no stock.

Perhaps he's going to stock in future ?

How are jessops priced compared to others?

Do grays have it in stock, or are they going to have to order you one in ? If so, could be a wait anyway.
 
Hi i bought my 300 afs f4 Nikkor from Jessops i had the same doubts as well after ordering but it was fine i received mine about two and half weeks later which was a first for me i seem to have problems with everything i order Ann
 
Im sure if you main kerso it will be there soon enough, hes a great person

Ahh! Good to hear someone else with similar doubts got their's. As someone else said don't want to cancel only to find stock elsewhere is unavailable, I suppose there is no real rush i've waited so long before ordering (it's a lot of money to me) I can wait a little longer.

Thanks Ann, as a matter of interest when did you order your's?

Hi Phil sorry for the late reply i think it was around January Feb you are right it is a lot of money but i have really enjoyed mine and very impressed with the sharpness and quality Ann
 
Yippeee! Just looked at order tracking without any optimism and low and behold - "ORDER DISPATCED".

40 days.:)
 
They weren't being overly cautious with the 28 day statement then! :D
