A little good news about Jessops.

On Sunday 10th July my beloved 50mm decided it did not want to part from my 400d. The only way to get the lens off was to force it and thus damaging the plastic mount. Luckily when i purchased the lens from Jessops i also purchased their 3 year protection plan. I took the lens to Jessops on the 10th July and it was sent away on the 11th.

I am delighted to say that the lens is back with me today and was actually in Jessops yesterday but i was unable to collected, however after testing i can confirm that it is in full working order. Top notch service to be honest!

Wowsers...

:)

Good to hear a positive story about them.

Always good to hear a pat on the back story!

i was supprised!

I've never had a problem with Jessops and never had a problem. Have posted a few pat on the backs on here, glad to see someone else doing the same :)

Well done to Jessops and indeed to the OP for posting.

I'm a big believer in complaining when things go wrong, but equally for commending an organisation when you get exceptionally good service too.
So many times you only hear about the bad things...

Good that they sorted it, but surely it should have been fixed even without any extra cover. Sale of goods and consumer protection and all that fun stuff?

It would be hard to argue, as it was physical damage... although if you look on the Net there are plenty of other people with similar problems with these plastic mount lenses, maybe you could say it is a defect?
