Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help...

My bf has just bought me two filters for my birthday... he has bought me a UV Jessops filter and a Jessops circular polarising filers.

I have two questions... are they any good? and what do both of them do??

Thanks in advance :)

I use Jessops filters and i have no issue with them....They are not the greatest but do a decent job.

Polarising filters can be used to reduce reflections on glass, water or any other non-metallic surface

UV Filters-General use protective filter with high grade multicoating. UV filters also cut down blueish haze in distant subjects

Which one is good if the sun is really bright?? Like sunglasses for my lens?

I think CP will come in use for Venice :)
