I'm at the Olympics next week (from Tuesday) and plan to take my camera as well as a few lenses, including the 70-200 and x4 converter. I did have a Lowepro slingshot until recently but sold it to get something more substantial - a Flipside 300.

I found it cheapest at Jessops and ordered for a store pick-up last Sunday night. The website told me I could pick up the bag from 9:45 on tuesday - fair enough. It also told me I'd receive a text when the bag had arrived in store. Well I had nothing and decided to call on Wednesday to see what was going on - the helpful lady at the store told me it wasn't in the deliveries they had received but should be here the next day.

This has gone on all week and it still hasn't turned up. I only have tomorrow before I go and very much doubt it will arrive.

How can they say it'll be there when it won't. I despise  this kind of crummy user experience / customer service. Anyone had similar experiences?

I know what you mean by the rules but have seen a fair few in the audience on tv coverage...

once ordered something from jessops to collect at sore. after 4 weeks i decided to call in to see what was happening (the customer services people i phoned kept saying there had been a delay at Manfrotto).

Turns out it had been there 3 weeks and yet nobody in store had thought to let me know.

I don't use Jessops anymore :D

I've used Jessops deliver to store twice, both times without problem. :)

Well the plot thickened today. Phoned store and still no arrival of bag, after two hours of appalling customer service and getting passed from pillar to post I demanded they posted out next day delivery from a store that had stock to my home address. Rubbish customer service and worst of all a terrible online user experience, they need some decent business analysts to sort out their disjointed and clearly flawed systems.

I've bought heaps of stuff from Jessops over the years for collect in store and never had an issue. :)

I never used collect in store but popped into my local store Sunday and had a look at a Nikon D7000 asked if they had any brochures about, to which the guy looked at the stand and told me all they had was for a D90 yet I was stood next to a glass fronted cabinet with about 10 D7000 brochures in it. :bang:

Even when it's in store they fail to know what they have! :bonk:

What were you wanting a brochure for?
